A student of honours category can borrow two books at a time while only one for general course students.
Each book will be issued for a period of 10 days only. Students have to return or re-issue the book within the mentioned period. No book will be issued for more than three consecutive periods.
A fine of Rs. 1.00 per day for first the 10 days and afterward 50 paise per day may be charged for the return of the book after the due date.
The borrower will be responsible for any damage/defacement/loss of the book.
For a lost book, a student is liable to submit the same new book; otherwise he/she has to pay the price according to the decision of the library authority.
For Staff:
One teacher can borrow a maximum number of ten books against his/her name at a time. No one is allowed more than ten books under any circumstances. The number is five for other staff.
Teachers or any other staff can keep one book for a maximum period of 30 days. He/she must have to return or re-issue the book before the return date is over. The return date of a book will be mentioned on the issue-return date slip attached to each book.
If a teacher or staff fails to return a book in time to the Central Library, a fine charge will be applicable to him/her against the due book. An amount of Rs. 5 will be charged for a delay up to the first five days i.e., from due day 1 to due day 5, and then from the 6th day, an extra Rs. 1 per day will be added to five rupees.
Without proper signature in the issue register no book will be issued to any staff of the college. One cannot return the book on the same day a book is issued to him/her. There must be a duration of one day.
